The Virtual Y ProgramThe McBurney YMCA is pleased to offer a free after school program for students attending Chelsea Prep. The Y After School takes place at Chelsea Prep from 2:40 pm – 6:00 pm for children in grades K through 5. Supported by the NYC Department of Education, all activities are designed to build literacy skills. Students are engaged in hands on activities that are project based, enriching and fun. Some of these activities include arts and crafts, sports & recreation, homework assistance and much more!

The Hudson Guild ProgramSchoolBridge at the Elliott and Beacon Centers is a free after school program for ages 5-13. Every weekday afternoon during the school year more than 200 children are engaged by a theme- and literacy-based curriculum that follows the New Standards presented by the New York City Board of Education.

PS33 Chelsea Prep Update 9/3/24:
- Class Assignments were emailed. Please check your junk folder and contact the school on September 3 if you do not receive your child's assignment by then.
- Enrollments Hours in-person: 10am to 12pm Starting August 26
- 2024-2025 Welcome letters have been emailed and below is a copy.

- OPT assigns the routes and stops based on your Primary address. No changes can be made unless you qualify for an exemption, https://www.schools.nyc.gov/school-life/transportation/bus-eligibility/exceptions-to-transportation-eligibility
- Busing information is now available for students who were enrolled at Chelsea Prep LAST YEAR. Check your NYC School Account (link). Existing Students with busing will receive the closest stop to their Primary residence.
- Bus Eligibility changes at 3rd grade with transportation eligibility at https://www.schools.nyc.gov/school-life/transportation/bus-eligibility. Even though they are no longer eligible for busing they should be eligible for an OMNY card.
- Eligible New Students, including Kindergarten, received a google form to complete.
- There is NO busing for Pre-K students.
