BUS AND METROCARD INFORMATION
New Students can now apply for transportation below.
Current Students Do NOT apply if your child received busing last school year, unless you had a change of address.
Transportation Information
- To check if your child qualifies for the Yellow School Bus or a MetroCard (OMNY Card) please visit the DOE transportation page.
- The Office of Pupil Transportation (OPT) assigns routes and stops based on your primary address. No changes can be made unless you qualify for an exemption.
- There is NO bussing for pre-k students.
- Transportation Issues: First step is to create a ticket online with the Office of Pupil Transportation (OPT) Transportation Support Hub (link) or call the Help Desk on (718) 392 8855. Then email ticket number and content of ticket to the Transport coordinator, [email protected]. For safety complaints & delays you must have a ticket before contacting the school.
- MetroCard (OMNY) Requests for Students (Link) Students must live more than 0.5 miles from school.
- School Bus Request (link) Current Bus Routes are listed at the end of the request. New Student busing can take up to 14 days. Please monitor your NYC Schools Account (link) to check when your child has been assigned a bus.
- If you do not live in the borough of Manhattan or do not qualify for busing you can apply for an exemption by creating a ticket at NYC Public School Support Hub. For more information about exemptions visit Exceptions to Transportation Eligibility.
Bus Schedule and Arrival Time
- Your child's bussing information including stop and times is available in your NYC School Account.
- Please arrive 10 minutes ahead of schedule.
