Read Ahead & P.S. 33
P.S. 33 has partnered since 1995 with Read Ahead, a nonprofit with the vision that students have the opportunity to unlock their full potential through mentoring relationships based on a love of reading.

Read Ahead matches mentors from premier corporate partners with students at public elementary schools for reading-based mentoring. Trained and screened mentors provide individualized attention, support, and role modeling throughout the school year. For 2020–21, students and mentors will meet virtually through a secure video platform for their weekly 45-minute sessions. Sessions include group activities with other students and mentors, and one-on-one reading, discussion, games, and guided reading lessons using BookNook, a fun and interactive online reading program!
