Purpose?

The School Leadership Team consists of parents, PS 33 staff and administrators who develop the Comprehensive Educational Plan (CEP) and budget for Chelsea Prep. School Leadership Teams are mandated by the Department of Education. Team members serve as the communication link within the school and to the greater school community. The PS 33 School Leadership Team meets at least once each month. 

SLT has two primary responsibilities.

The SLT evaluates the academic needs of our students and produces a Comprehensive Education Plan (CEP) that suggests ways to meet those needs, in alignment with the school budget for the following school year. 

The SLT also monitors whether the current Comprehensive Education Plain is being implemented, and verifies that proper resources are allocated to implement the current Comprehensive Education Plan.

The School Leadership Team is a collaborative team made up of an equal number of faculty and parents. Members include the Principal, UFT Representative, and PTA President, in addition to four parent members and three elected members of the PS 33 faculty.

How to Raise

​an  Issue

PS 33 SLT meetings are open to the entire school community. However, according to SLT by-laws, observers may not participate in discussions during the meetings. If you would like to attend an SLT meeting, please let the school administration know in advance.
